This is one of my favorite 3 wts. If the sun ever returns, I will post some more pictures of this rod and some blanks I have lying around.
This is a great site!

Really nice. The grip reminds me of when "The Fishing Post" was still open in Greensburg, PA. They had a few bamboo rods with the seperated ring
grips by Lancaster. I always loved the way those looked.

Bob's rods were one of my inspirations scud, I found I could lose an entire line weight on some light but relatively stiff graphite blanks, make a 4wt a 3
wt. It allows flex through the grip. I had a 7' 4 wt. "green" blank that I let sit for years as I thought it to stiff for my liking, I tried the
"Griggs" style grip more as a novelty than anything, but it seemed that with the guides installed, and the griggs grip it "loosened" up.
Actually it made a dandy little 3 wt. rod, I have made dozens of them since, and folks seem to like them. The next rod was a 68" one piece Lamiglas,
pictures when the sun returns, this rod is magic, it makes you learn how to wade rather than how to over-cast to a target.
Thanks Guys!!! I love this stuff....... |

Nussrods,
A very nice build. I found the grip very unique and interesting, your explanation for its use enlightening and thought provoking. Thank you, Respectfully rvreclus |
