The Orvis rod is already listed and I think my price is probably not realistic and needs to be changed. Any comments would be appreciated. 1. Orvis Fullflex type A. 7.5'. WF6.Excellent. 2. Cortland FR-2000. 7.5'. DT5. Mint but no tube. 3. Phillipson Royal RF86. 8.5'. DT7. Mint. 4. Herter's RB6Y6F by Phillipson. 9'. DT7. Mint 5. Phillipson S90. 9'. DT8. Excellent/VG 6. Master Guide Posts: 2334 (06/27/09 11:00:11) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Good Approch Bill, I would suggest you do the following, list each rod seperately here as a topic, posting some good pictures clearly showing the grip and reel seat, any decaling or identifying marks, the ferrules, and in general several of the typical guide wraps, like the striper and a couple of snakes. If the rod has any issues be sure to list them and include pictures if you can. Ask us to give our opinions on condition. Many times MInt is not mint. Also show any and all papwork and tubes or socks that come with the specific rod. Get a consensis of condition then ask for an get several opinions as to value. That should give you a very good price range to be able to list your rods for sale, a fair idea of the practical condition of each rod. The board is a great place to sell glass rods, many properly listed with fair and reasonable values posted often sale within the first hour or less of the listing, and it surely would spark some added interest in each if you let board members see what you have and give their opinions as to condition and value before you decide to post them in the for sale section. I think the winning bid would go somewhere in the $150 - $200 range. More than I ever wanted to spend on one. I have the seven weight version of this rod. It's one of my favorite rods, but the last thing I need is to bring another fly rod into the fold.

I'll estimate some price ranges for your rods, but the condition and number of guys looking for that particular rod will ultimately determine the final selling price. 1. Orvis Fullflex type A. 7.5'. WF6 Excellent. - I think Gaddis has this one well pegged in the $150-200 range. 2. Cortland FR-2000. 7.5'. DT5. Mint but no tube - these are very full flexing rods for relaxed casters. FR-2000's don't get enough love in the market. $40-60. 3. Phillipson Royal RF86. 8.5'. DT7. Mint - this would be a 2 piece, mid 60s rod with Phillipson nickel silver ferrules? Probably in the $90-125 range. 4. Herter's RB6Y6F by Phillipson. 9'. DT7. Mint - even bigger than the Phillipson Royal above. This rod would date the late 50s or very early 60s. Because of the length, somewhere in the $40-50 range. Herter's rods don't sell as high as rods with Phillipson labeling. 5. Phillipson S90. 9'. DT8. Excellent/VG - this would be an early 50s rod. Again, because of the length, somewhere in the $50-75 range. 6. Heddon Pal Thorobred Pal #55. 9'. DT8. Near Mint - this would be an mid 50s rod. This one is hard to gauge because I don't see big Heddons very often, but I would guess the $40-70 range. Tom
