To answer your second question, a number of Wonderods have a sturdy butt section with a pretty limber tip. With these rods you can cast a lighter light weight using mostly the tip action of the rod. With a heavier line weight on the same rod you can cast by flexing the rod into the butt section. I don't know how well this works in practice. With these rods I tend to go with the heavier line weights.

Well so far I have not been able to locate any additional information on the other actions. But in any case, I did confirm that the FY-A322 is listed as Universal Action in both of the catalogs that it appears in. Why yours is marked Action Taper I can't explain. I will add that model FY-A320 is listed as Action Taper. Could yours possibly be an FY-A320? Many times the markings on these rods are unclear and can be easily misread.
