I took the Heddon Tubular Glass #G.F. 702 out this morning and played with it on a local lake. It's a 7'6" early Heddon two piece glass rod that
weighs 4 3/8 ounces.
There are not any markings on the rod to indicate a preferred fly line. I read in the wiki that the 7'6" Heddon Pal rods that came along later were marked for a HEH line. So I started out fishing the tubular glass rod with a Cortland Sylk DT5F line. The line cast very delicately and would provide great presentation on a small stream. But for lake fishing I couldn't cast it very far. When I changed to the Wulff TT6F line the rod felt completely different and I could cast it much farther while maintaining accuracy and a nice soft presentation. It would probably even cast a DT6F line well.
I think that the Heddon Tubular Glass rod is an attractive rod thatt fishes very nicely!
