Does anyone have any experience or comments about the TFO 6 foot 9 inch finesse rod they recently came out with? I was thinking of maybe getting one but was
interested in what others thought of them.
Thanks

Dave - do a search on "TFO" there have been several threads in the last year, gist of which from memory seems to be likeable fastish 5/6 or medium
6/7 depending on your taste, and possibly limited availability

Dave,
I just bought a used TFO glass rod and the rod arrived Monday. I finally had a chance to lawn cast the rod and I'm pleased how it cast the 6wt floating line that I was using. I also cast a 5wt line, but the rod seemed to like the 6wt better. The rod seems like it will be a good rod for some of the smaller creeks and rivers that I fish around here. The rod also looks like it will make a good kayaking rod. I bought the rod on a strong recommendation from another fly fisherman who also owns a TFO glass rod. Edward |

Dave,
The other comments are right on the money. Fast for glass. I like it with a 6 weight line (or even a 7 weight to slow it down some). TFO has sold out their run of these rods, so you will have to find one on the secondary market. There is custom built one for sale on FAOL right now if you are looking. Tom |
