Don,
The Quiet Loops were made by a Japanese firm called Angler's Republic under the trade name Old Beech. A couple of years ago the left over stock was sold on Yahoo Japan. I bought a 7 foot, 4 weight and loved it. The 6'6", 3 weight rod was lightly used, but I liked the 7 footer so much I took a chance. I feel I got a good deal on it. I haven't seen a new, old stock Quiet Loop on YJ for over a year now. I don't think many of them have made it to the US. Most of those that have are probably owned by forum members.
A Japanese gentleman with the online name of Key Taccata has an informative page on the Quiet Loop rods with quite a few photos. The model line had a couple of 2 weights also. If they are like their heavier stable mates, they would be well worth searching for.
Tom
