Thanks Les, I just got done doing some casting in the backyard, this thing can really sling out some line. I can definitely see making cast nearly into the backing with it as I was getting within about 10' from doing so and was out of backyard space to cast at that point.

Thanks again Harley, I have had the rod out twice in the past 3 days, the first day I didn't expect to catch much and didn't catch anything but I was able to cast out to the backing which I found pretty darn impressive for a 7'6" rod. Today I did manage to catch 2 greenies and a red belly perch, I must have seen 30 Rio Grandes but the buggers didn't bite with any gusto to allow them to get hooked.

I'm also happy to report that the finish on the reel appears to be holding up well.
