Here is a rod I picked up today, True Temper IF85. 8ft 6 in, I cast a 6 and 7 wgt lines with it and it feels nice. May even work with a 5 but the 6 felt
really good. Kind of interesting that there is only mylar tape under the wraps on the butt section. All wraps look the same otherwise, in really good shape.
Only has 5 guides though, might try taping some on in between and see how it casts.

That's one of the more comfortable blue-collar 8'6" 'glass rods. I have essentially the same rod (different trim/model year) and have used it
smallmouth fishing with a WF 7, so DT 6 will probably be good, too. Mine's a bit loosey-goosey in the tip section's action--not the most refined rod
going--so I don't use it for trout fishing where line control is more important. It's a nice boat/canoe rod. I have an idea it would be improved by
fitting more guides, partly because they might add a little feel of stiffness and continuity to the action as well as controlling the line flow. In better
condition than mine, yours is nice to use as is, nice to experiment with.
