Okay well after talking with Tom last night and trading emails with Rick at Ricks Rods, it appears I have aquired a fluke of a fly rod. Yesterday the brother
in law and I went to several local antique shops and he found this Phillipson Pacemaker glass rod. After telling him that the company's products are
sought after and are (from everything I hear and read) fine fishing tools he decided to buy even thought the tip is 6" short. On our way out to his car
he decideds to inform me that he wants to trade the rod for a SB #1144 reel I have straight across, so I did.
Now I can't seem to find any information about this rod or any other rods that might be in this line up...Does anyone out there in the world wide web know of or have any info about Phillipson Pacemaker glass rods???
On an interesting note scratched into the reel seat is the name "Don Dawson 1968"
