Finally going fishing |

Excuse my enthusiasm. It's been a long Spring filled with a new job, graduations, birthdays, snow and rain. My time is now coming. Next week I will meet
the lovely and talented Wacokid for a day of float tubing on Antero Reservoir. Antero, located in South Park Colorado is known for growing trout 1
1/2"-2" a month in the summer. Fiberglass is the order of the day and big fish are on the way.

Someone is clearly getting ready early!! Howard, what time do you want to meet up, 1:00 AM? The anticipation of a day out on the water is certainly a big
deal for me too. I really enjoy the get ready and the planning. All kidding aside, we should go up as early as we can stand it, to get in as much fishing as
we can before the dreaded South Park winds kick up. Howard, my day will complete if I can get a photo of you holding up an Antero hogger.

cofisher - Please snap some pics of the area and post 'em. I'd love to see what the area is like as I've recently heard about Antero Res. and have
thought about checking it out this year. Is there stream fishing that leads into or out of the reservoir as well? Hmm . . . I better get working on obtaining a
float tube or pontoon.
Wind in South Park? For sure! |

Wow, I thought my case of fish fever was bad, your a whole week early. Your going to be thinking about the float tube and fish all week and probably wont be worth a damn at work, you should go fish instead. Cant wait to see the photos. What day are you going, I will be right up the road in Cheyenne. |

cofisher...what a sharp looking T.F.M. decal. Where did you get that? HA... I am beginning to think that you're controlling Colorado's weather with
the mere mention of fly fishing. Hopefully it won't snow next week. Great looking water rig and can't wait to hear about it getting wet.

Mike: Bad case of the fever. Actually I just needed to pump up the tube to make sure there are no leaks, check the fish finder and try to decide which rods and
reels I'm taking. Getting ready is half the fun, I'm just stretching it out a bit.
Dennis: 1AM is fine with me, i'll just sleep on the way. Doc: I'll try to take a lot of pictures. The South Platte runs through Antero. You are also not that far from Spinney, Eleven Mile and even the Arkansas isn't that far. I've got two extra tubes if anyone wants to meet us out there. Cameron: Got to Rep TFM, right?

Well, the trip is planned for Sunday morning. Believe it or not, it was snowing in Summit County last night.

Thanks for the offer Howard. I wish I could. I might be able to in August. I have the itch for some beautiful mountians and big browns!
