I know this is not a fiberglass rod, but figured I'd ask anyways. I am planning on purchasing this one from friend to fish trout and gills. He let me
test the rod one afternoon and it was a dream to cast on the pond. The rod tube and sock are present. Can anyone give an approximate value I should offer for
this fine rod? It is in like new condition and appears that it was well taken care of...

I have that exact same rod and love it. I got mine at a ridiculously low price, however, so I won't hazard an estimate. Scott still makes the saltwater
version, and it is pretty pricey.

The Scott STS 9ft 9wt retailed for $500 way back when I got mine years ago and would say it would be worth quite a bit still as they are highly regarded. I see someone on the striper forum just listed a mint 9ft 9wt for $400 just today. |
