I picked up this 7'6" rod a couple of weeks back and have been meaning to post some pics. I haven't cleaned it up or lawn cast it yet but plan to
do so shortly. Any information that anyone has on this rod is greatly appreciated.

The Woodsman was one of their early high end rods, at 7 1/2ft you most likely have a really great 5/6wt with modern lines, I would suggest a DT5F or WF6S from
my past experence. These early glass rods will handle size 8-12 wet flys and size 12 to 28 drys great, just remember to size your leaders and tippets
accordingly. Great looking rod. Post your tube and rod suck including from the tube and sock, the info decalling and stenciling and I will try to pin down the
year of mfg. Also the rod decaling.

That helps alot, I would place it 1950-1954, weight 4 oz, original price $17 and top of the production line, only ones better were the competion personalized
custom at $40 model 1203, and the Queen Elizabeth at $20. With the rod sock stensiling, and the rod decaling I should be able to pin it down better. Definately
a really really nice 5/6wt rod, the High power rods were someof the very best glass rods, congratulations.
