I picked up a copy of My Life Was This Big by Lefty Kreh yesterday and have been unable to set it down. I figure it is to Fiberglass what Ritz's
A Flyfisher's Life is to bamboo. LOL. Just wanted to share my enthusiasm for it, its a good read. Thanks.

I received a copy of Leftys book as a gift over a month ago but just had time to read it on my recent trip to Florida and really enjoyed it! A lot of great history about the sport especially enjoyed the background on the saltwater fishing. Also highly recommend. |

I picked up a copy myself and I'll be doing a review for FFO - it is an excellent read. What amazed me the most, and I've been a fan of Lefty's
since I was kid, is exactly how much that guy has been through. I never knew about his part in WWII or how influential he was in the world of hunting. I
certainly know he's not a fly rod snob, a lot of his articles from the 60's and early 70's included fishing various baits in salt water. He wrote
about using a popping cork and live shrimp for sea trout and I quickly adapted the technique (using grass shrimp) for fishing white perch.
The book is good enough for me to want to read it again. Joe C. "Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the

Yes, the war stories were enlightening. I can't imagine going thru what he did like seeing the commanders head rolling past him. Whoa. |

If that's the case, I'm all over it. Thanks for the recommendation. |

I just finished reading it, and I'll add my praise to the list. Lefty is definitely not a flyfishing elitist; hell he still likes to fish for carp with
doughballs. Lefty is still "da Man".
