I am hoping to get some advise or encouragement before I proceed on a fix for a hardy. I have a marquis salmon 2 that has a spindle that has loosened. I can
tighten it by hand but is breaks free and loosens enough to wobble. I cannot back it out by hand and figure there is a bur in the threading at the back. I am
not sure whether I should try and back it all the way out and apply thread lock or just try and tighten it hard. I was planning to try a piece of leather and
a pair of channel locks to get a grip on it. I am worried about backing it out and buggering up the threads. Any experiences or thoughts on this. Better way
of gripping the post?
