I'm about to wrap my first Phillipson blank and being that it's older I wanted to check and see what anybody uses to clean it with before trying
anything. Usually I use a very fast wipe with rubbing alcohol and I've never had any problems whatsoever. With the painted finish, I know very little
about what is safe. I certainly don't want to remove any paint. Any suggestions would be great.

Denatured alcohol would probably be fine. Test a little spot that will end up under a wrap as a test. Mineral spirits should be fine too. For that matter,
soap and water and let it dry a couple of days would also work.
