I came home to my new rod last night after being out of town this week and I'm very happy with it, I thought his putting my name on the rod was a nice
touch. Here are some pics:
It came with the nice rod tube and sock shown in the pics. This morning I took to the trusty creek by the house hoping for some action, didn't get any Rios like I had hoped but I caught several greenies and a nice little spotted bass. I was using a 5WF Hook n Hackle line and it cast pretty well, it even seemed to be a bit stiffer than the #5 Fenwick I recently got my hands on. I forgot to take a picture of the other side of the label where David Redington put his signature. Overall, I'm very happy with this rod, it may become one of my favorites in the near future.
I think in the next week or so I'll be gettting some #5DT line and a smaller reel to put on it, I think it may cast better with the DT line.
