Scud Dog, They use to stock the upper river but stopped years ago. These fish in the lower river are most likely native fish. There is alot of really heavy water that almost splits the river into two distinct sections with no plantings in Lake Billy Chinook, which the Metolius dumps into. My friend knows the biologists that work on the river and they think these fish could have desended from the steelhead that once ran into the river. Very cool! They fight like it!-Thom
