So gentlemen, I have finally begun the process of getting the little sisters fly rod project moving. I am very constrained due to money issues (its hell being a grad student) and so I have made the choice at this moment that the Riffle blank (the 8' 5#) is the one that my little sister is going to like best. Just to make sure, has anyone cast the japanese fenwicks (7'9) and the Riffle blank in question? My sister's favorite rod to cast was my 7'9" 5# Japanese fenwick so I am trying to get it close and save $150. Close enough? Second, if I go ahead and get the blank, is there an email for Kettle Creek rods or should I just call? Sorry about the tons of questions, but I am trying to get her the best rod that I can.
