Following on the great event we had this past July, we will once again be holding this gathering at The Feathered Hook in Coburn, PA. We will be right on
legendary Penn's Creek and minutes from other great streams such as Spring Creek near State College. This event will be similar to last years. You can
check in anytime on Friday with most people arriving early afternoon. The official "McFarland Rod Company Cooking Staff" will be whipping up some
great meals on Friday and Saturday evening and Feathered Hook owner Jonas Price will be making his famous breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning. Exact
meals are not decided yet but some possibilities and past meals include:
-Shrimp Boil with potatoes, corn on the cob, and sausage
-Shiskabobs using Amanda'a secret marinade
-Chili
-Steaks (locally raised fillet mignon)
We will also of course have homemade pies, cookies, and a bunch of other stuff to make you forget about your New Year's resolution to loose weight. You can view some posts and pics from previous gatherings here:

We generally have a large group of glass, bamboo, and graphite rods available to cast. This is a great opportunity to cast a wide variety of modern and classic rods from various makers. The weather and fishing in central PA can be hit or miss this time of year. However, if the water is not too high, mid to late March usually fishes pretty well. Regardless of the weather we will have a great time. With such a gathering of good rods, good food, and great people it is impossible to not have a great weekend.
The cost for the event is $150 per person and includes both nights lodging as well as all meals. We have room for about 15 people and I expect spots to fill up fast. Please contact me with questions or to reserve your spot.
