(C) 1930 W.&M. CO, WRIGHT & MCGILL All American TRADEMARK, No. 3A 8 1/2 ft. The blank appears dark brown with an obvious cloth pattern to it, the wraps appear to be a yellow or light olive in color, the reel seat is metal and is either silver in color (or may have been gold), downlocking. The blank appears to be in great shape but the ferrules and guides would need to be replaced and re-wrapped and the reel seat is pretty bent up. The cork is also pretty rough. I would like to know anything I can about the rod, i.e. line weight, age, etc. Does it have any collector value in its current condition? If not, is it worth putting a few dollars into and replacing the bad parts with modern components and fishing it? Your expertise is greatly appreciated.
