I almost didn't bid on it because I didn't recognize the rod number and couldn't find it in the wiki. Could it be one of those earliest Heddon glass rods produced before the Pal series? It is very similar to my 8'6" Heddon Deluxe T-70. The reelseats, except for color, the ferrules and the color of the blanks are the same and the wrappings are very similar. Both of them have soft tips. The 702 might flex a little deeper into the rod when wiggled, but the actions are very similar.
I fished the T-70 before ice up and loved it. I think the 702 is going to be another favorite.
