Further to my enquiry on the Phillipson "Special", I also have a Wright & McGill, "Holiday", 5A, 7 1/2. This rod has an oval "hammer" handle, Nickel silver ferrules and a Goodwin-Granger Pat. reel seat. Dark brown blank, similar to the Phillipson, with red wraps tipped with black.
Does this rod have any value and how old would it be?
I also have 2 Fenwick "Ferallite" glass rods that we fished with in the 70's, a FF85 and a FF108, both longer and heavier than the ones that
are popular to collectors. They come with red plaid bags and aluminum tubes. As I am into graphite spey rods and bamboo single handed, I am wondering if they
have any value to your members.
