I received an email from a fellow angler which indicates that Hardy will be introducing a new line of glass rods at the Denver, CO fly tackle show.
The lineup should be as follows;
Aln - 5' 2wt
Brook-6' 3wt
Stream-7' 3wt
Test-7'6" 4wt
Trout Fisher-8' 5wt
He was unsure as to where these rods are being made, either England or Korea most likely. By my experience with Hardy the prices will probably be on the high side, though this is just a guess. To me the interesting point is that a large, international company such as Hardy's would show interest in glass fly rods. And we also have Tom Morgan bringing glass into his impressive array of fly rods. I surmise that glass fly rods are making a comeback in the mainstream and it never left the hearts and minds of many of us.

I don't mind the prices, they seem rather fair to me. I think if you buy a yellow fenwick they are about
$330, so the Hardy's aren't too far off. I personally look forward to them, but maybe because I am a Hardy ######. I understand why they have to move
stuff to Asia, and I am OK with that because you can't possibly pay a worker in England what they DESERVE, you can't make a profit, and sell a piece of
equipment at a decent price all at the same time. I hope y'all won't hate me for saying it, but I would love to cast one! I don't think I need
another rod though....
