Nice buy, Bud. I almost went for it too, but didn't have quite enough to drink that night. Hardy's are hard to resist - any Hardy.

Hello Bud,
When you get this, take a good look at the scuffs to be sure they aren't into the glass. If they are just in the surface you're probably Ok, but there can be a ton of stress in speycasting this kind of thoroughbred horse of a rod. If they go into the glass you'll want at very least a clear overwrap of thread. If you find you have no use for it or have third thoughts when you see the price of spey lines, and would like to swap for a good glass rod for fishing you do more, just let me know. I can give this rod a good home. -Vinnie in Juneau |

Vinnie....the scratches are superficial.....this thing is a monster...I tried it on the lawn with a WF10....just casting overhead with two hands.....shot the
whole line and 20 feet of backing with one backcast.....A very interesting rod. Did you look at the ebay listing for it? If you have something interesting
to trade....let me know...I will probably never use the rod....but it is very cool....
