Here's another antique store find I bought a couple of years ago. About a year ago someone here inquired about a similar model. I didn't reply as I
wasn't a member here yet and other than having a similar rod, didn't know anything about it, still don't. Every once in a while I'll look for
one on ebay, but the closest I've got is Sportmaster minnow buckets. I know that they were a lower end glass rod. I believe that K-Mart sold Sportmaster
branded products. This is a 7' six piece pack rod. Came with a pleather case- I believe it's the original. The rod is in great shape. I've only
fished it a couple of times. It's really noodley. It bends right down to the cork. It's also kinda bouncy. The fact that it has five clunky heavy metal
ferrules makes it a tip heavy, clunky, bouncy, noodley rod. Still, I think with right casting stroke it would make an adequate casting/fishing rod. I've
used a four and a five weight line on it. If I remember, it liked the four best. A few things I do like about it is it has a really comfortable grip and a neat
gold anodized Eagle Claw looking downlocking reel seat. Also the black over white wraps are easy on the eyes. If anybody has any information on this rod or the
Sportmaster name, I'd appreciate hearing it.
Thanks, Tom.

Thanks, Tom.
