Take an inexpensive IM6 blank (Forecast, H&H IM6, PacBay Traditional,, Sevier Tiger Eye) outfit it with single foot ceramic guides, fish it with at least 2 line weights higher than recommended. You will have all the casting pleasures of glass, with incredibly smooth guides, lightness in hand, and all at a super low cost in comparison with todays high tech graphite pool cues being doled out by the factories.
I have been told in the past that i am just looking to have a rod explode in my hands from the undue strain I am putting on the blanks......never happened and I doubt it ever will. Any opinions on this or anyone ever try this?
Lou
