I have really accute hearing, and I can sometimes detect, when you first flex the rod this VERY slight " creaking " sound which I have traced to the ferrule. It doesn't do it every time and it dissapears after the first flex.
The rod is solid as a rock and the ferrule appears so as well.
I plan to sell the rod since it isn't going to suit my needs. It is a smooth, full flexing beautiful casting rod.
So, should I be concerned about this "noise"? Does it indicate some problem with the ferrule construction?
Someone else would probably not detect the sound and I want to make sure I am selling a solid rod.
