I agree with Spencer DT. That last picture should be framed and hung on a wall.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, well... thanks to Riki, the photographer. Me and the Sikang , was just a model
Let Riki comment on the pictures. I agree with the last picture too. First I thought the fly rod shouldn't have been there, but came to think of it, hey that's a Lami |

Hay Al,
How about posting your favorite flys over in the fly section, maybe you can talk Riki into posting his as well, it would be interesting in seeing what you guys are using, while sometimes the fish are small, your catching them on a regular basis so what your using is of interest to me, and I would think quite a few members, Richard |

Thanks Richard.I'll get couple shots and post it over the fly section. No fancy stuff, just my trusted CDC Elk and old PT nymph.

That sikang really looks like a trout, with a little bit of herring in there.
And with that pouch under the jaw, the mouth reminds me of some species of lizards. Do they have aquatic insect hatches in Malaysia?

freestoner wrote:I agree with you freestoneer, the Sikang is look like a trout. In fact we call it Malayan Trout. It's origin from Myanmar where they call it Burmese trout. But I am not sure why they are categorize under Cyprinidae or minnows family, they are sure behave and look more like trout to us, or at least we just pretend they are trout We do have aquatic insect hatches in Malaysia, but I guess we need to study more about aquatic entomology, like you guys is doing in US. |
