JG and anyone else. I grew up in the land of Fenwicks. But what I'm curious about, did any of the yellow Fens come with the "ferrulite" ferrule? I mean an older true "fenwick" rod (as in pre buyout). I know most of the blanks we picked up at Schoff's through the 70's (and my Dad back in the 60's) the brown blanks had the ferrulite ferrule system, but the yellow blanks usually were designed to put a metal ferrule in, or was a one piecer that you'd cut to make the taper you wanted (seemed that where you put the ferrule dictated how that rod would bend). Just curious, since I only saw the rods up here, especially when Fenwick was rolling the blanks for awhile up here in Kent, WA.
