I've never really had a "Favorite" rod, but my F.D. Lyons 7 ft 4 wt is certainly becoming my favorite 704. It has the backbone to get line out
a distance when needed and is also delicate in close......I am not a great caster, but this rod even makes me look good 
I got out for a couple hours with a good friend this weekend on a lake near Danbury WI. We fished shallows from a pontoon boat and caught many nice
sunnys, blue gill, some largemouth bass......all in all, a great couple hours on a beautiful afternoon.
This was one of the most colorful sunnys (or maybe a hybrid/cross) that I've seen. The photos don't actually do it justice as the turquoise on its
cheeks was really something else but didn't show well in the pics.
