Ok, lets see how good you guys are. I have a rod that I need help on. Some questions I have are, who, what, when and where?
It is a 6 piece fiberglass with metal ferrules. Light brown blank with Chinese Red spiral wraps over white. A little over 7' with all the pieces within 1/4" of each other. Snake guides, with locations for 4 giudes. Tip top has a small crimp in it, doubt that it is a factory crimp. No handle or seat so I don't know if it is a fly rod or not. Full flex, slow action.
The guides say fly rod the only 4 says huh? I am going to rebuild it fairly close to as found. May go with a Garnet instead of Chinese Red. That is a little to bright to me. What do I do about a handle and seat, since I don't know if it is a fly rod. 7', 6 piece, 4 guide fly rod?
This is just a warm up for you. Hopefully I can post some pics tomorrow.
