Thanks for posting the pictures Fango, its an excellent build, you've a natural talent for rod building, and looks like your as hooked by fly fishing and
fiberglass rods as the rest of us.

You deserve it, thats an awsome rod for anyone let alone a second build. I suspect your a natural hopefully you will make many many more.
Al and Riki have been very busy with work lately, Al tells me he barely has time to write. Glad to hear you guys are keeping so busy in the current economic downturn. Fiberglass is fun isnt it, and very addicting too, Richard |

Richard.. fly fishing is only half the fun of rod building...
I found rod building is very addictive.. as one wants to improve themselves in every aspect of the rod building from cork grip installation to guide wrapping... yip.. glass is really fun.. Thanks Lou.. the color of the chestnut silk thread turn out nicely after epoxy. I was afraid the color was abit too light at first, but it looks just like I wanted after finishing it... |

Looks great Fango, did you thin the FC with denatured alcohol or apply it straight out of the bottles?

Thanks MS... I got this urge of doing feather inlay after seeing my friends' rod which was refurbished by Gypsy..
It's a hard process... well, at least for me it is, but the satisfaction I got out of it is great!! Thanks Mark ... for your generosity of sharing the knowledge. I thinned the FC with denatured alcohol. I find it more workable when it's thinner. I should have gotten the FC Lite, then I might not need to thin with denatured alcohol.. |
