I'm going to pull the trigger on a fenwick, from what i've been reading the FF 756 sounds like it will handle a wide assortment of flies. What say you?

You can put anything from a DT5 to a WF7 on that rod, depending on your tastes. The rig should throw anything appropriate to the line size, from midge up to
medium small bass poppers.

FF 756 is fun rod, and will deal well with a 7wt and a bass bug. I personally use a FF98 for 95% of my bass fishing, it will throw very large bass bugs with a
9 or 10wt line.
I did use my ff756 many times at a local lake that had small (20") pike, it was a blast. Go for it, Keith |

Crazy Cracker,
That ought to work for you. I imagine it will handle pretty much whatever you catch with it. Personally, I like a FF80 &/or FF85 for the majority of the bass fishing I do, just because they'll toss bigger bugs.
It's time to turn over a new fly.

I use the FF756 for Smallmouth bass fishing on rivers. The 6wt Rio Clouser line is a great match with the rod. The 806 and 807 are also very good bassin rods

I have an FF756-4, so my comments may be a little off. I think it's a very versatile rod, but some of that versatility is its ability to cast size 20 dries
and still feel pretty light in the hand. On the other end, if I were going to spend the day casting size 8 poppers or size 8 coneheads, weighted flies, I'd
probably grab a heavier rod; size 10 poppers at short distances, I'd probably stick with the FF756-4.

The ff756 is a great all around rod. I personally like the ff85 for most of my serious bass fishing.....but if you like a lighter rod the 756 will fill the
bill nicely.

My favorites are the FF806 for river smallies and FF807 when throwing bigger bugs. I also use the 807 for carp.
These 2 rods cover about 80% of my fishing

FF807 will get you into all the trouble you want. It's light enough to make catching bluegill fun and heavy enough to turn a largemouth with no trouble.
Much like this fellow.
