I find that the One Pfoot products have given a very nice improvement to my 1494 and 1495 1/2 Medalist reels. Over the years I have added the pfoots, the spool counterweights, and the drag plates to each reel. The pfoots give the reels a MUCH better fit on my flyrods, and the other products make the reels a lot smoother and "tighter" in feel. I also have to say that Mr. Bob Selb of Classic Fly Fisherman went out of his way to make sure that a recent order for more spool counterweights was right; I'd recommend his company very highly. Altogether, for those who use Pflueger Medalists I believe that you would find that your reels are improved remarkably by replacing a few of the parts with One Pfoot parts.
