The other night it was the police department I work for turn to cook for the county law enforcement association. We have a little bit of property out at the
lake and I took off out of office early to do a little fly fishing before all the cooking got going.
I took along the Mountainshark/Lamiglas three weight fly/spin build, lined up MG-3, a few Briminators, and enjoyed a few minutes of tagging some of the bluegills that surround the dock area. Good times...
Spent the evening frying up fish, raw fries, cole slaw, banana pudding, and they even let the Midwest Yankee (ME!) keep the grits from burning. I figured they did it so that they would have an excuse if they turned out bad. Luckily the wife has passed along a few tricks to those slow cook grits and they turned out great!
