While I wait for the high country to thaw out, i thought I'd hit the local lakes in the meantime.
I've fished from a kayak as well as an Outcast Fat Cat-like float tube, but I sold them in the past year cuz of lack of use. The kayak was a touring kayak and was a little clumsy for fishing applications, but it's primary purpose was for river running. The float tube worked pretty well for fishing but was pretty slow to get from point A to B in a lake, especially with afternoon Colorado winds.
I'm thinking a pontoon boat might be the ticket. Plus, I'd like to run some local rivers with it as well.
Any recommendations on a single man pontoon boat? By the way, I'm 150 lb during the cycling/racing season and don't expect to go out with much gear for a half-day outing.
Thanks!
BTW, if I do get a pontoon boat, I'll likely get one of these things for transport:
