Hi guys
I've got a line on a guy selling a Cortland 502-A 7'6" #7 locally. Does anyone know anything about these ? Is it a Procrest ? Just wondering if I should bother persuing it further. Thanks Mike |

Mike,
Cortland's model numbers seemed to vary all over the map, but the rods stayed basically the same. Whether it is a ProCrest or an FR2000, the rod is likely to be a smooth, full flexing action. They are nice rods that are usually a bit underpriced. See if you can test cast it before you buy and that will tell you if you want it. Tom |

My ProCrest and my FR2000 seem to like to be underlined with modern lines. You might want to take a 5, 6 and 7 with you if you can to test cast the rod.
