Are the pflueger medalists from the 70's reversable? Most of them I see are set up for right hand wind. Thanx.........Ray...............

yes, they are reversible - plenty of threads how to turn them around.
Also, even if you find an earlier reel you like, you can get a reversible ratchet plate from One Pfoot.
the rods are never obsolete - the marketing is.

Thanx Ron. I was fishing with Bud the other day and he had an old pflueger with the round line guide and I didn't know if they all during that era had that
option. On the Youngs you convert to LH makes me wonder why they and other manufactures of that time didn't make that option available. Alot of fly fishers
then did fish with spin reels that were LH and then they would have to convert their reeling hand when flyfishing. I know you fish RH but I still can't go
that way.
Thanx...............Ray................... |

they made LHW reels before 1950,
1594, 1595, 1596 very hard to come by and very costy to get by the collectors The thing to do is find a nice old Akron reel and send it to Bill Franke and have it "pimped out" in LHW. http://fiberglassflyrodders.yuku.com/topic/7902?page=1
