That's probably a good idea. I'm thinking the water will be warm enough to wet wade, but I'm also bringing my waders just in case. I'm also bringing a bag of Crappie and Yellow Bass Filet's for the fish fry.

little slow fishing on the river today. fish are beginning to bunch up on the Nolan, way down stream. they got tattooed pretty good today, but not by fly
fisherman. brazos slow, and still off color. I will be working both rivers pretty hard this week, and should get a good feel for how they will fish for the
weekend, and should have some nice filets for the weekend!!!

hey guys, just an FYI!!! SuperTarget has baby back pork ribs on sale for $1.49 lb this week. we need some for this weekend, for the orion cookoff. i will be
buying 3 racks for my cooker. i hope everyone is bringing their cookers, too!! each cooker can easily hold 6 racks, and maybe even some chicken for the bottom
grill. also need to be thinking about what we will give away for the big orion cookoff prize!!! any ideas??

At last count I figured there were going to be 18, give or take a few people attending. So...I hate to sound like a dumb-a**, but who's going to eat all this food? The last Glassic at Jack's there were about the same amount of people and we fed them all with 4 racks of ribs, a small Brisket and a pot of Cody's Chili, and trust me, no one went hungry. I don't really give a Rat's-a** about all the starving people in Third World Countries, but I'm thinking that there'll be a lot of wasted food. Just my .02 cents.

That really does sound like too much food (i've never seen russ eat tho).
If one person does ribs, one brisket, one maybe a pork tenderloin that will be tons o food. A Hardy rod/reel combo with line and a nice case would be a decent prize.

guys, just saw an up to date weather report, and it's not good for the glassic. very windy and cold. fishing may suck!!! at least barry's margaritas
won't melt. we will need to find ways to stay warm, and busy!!!! let's keep the post active, and discuss this!!!

I decided this morning to leave the yak at home and just wade. Barry Yes, I've got the cooker, shaker, and stuff to cook fish and fries loaded. Still need the filets as my supply ruined when the son left the freezer door open. I have: 18 eggs 2 lbs bacon 2 loaves bread coffee bottled water 10 lbs potatoes (for fries) OJ cooking oil for the fish fish batter plates forks spoons cups coffee cups paper towels I'm about to get in the shower and then take off that way. I'll have my cell if anything changes 2144573407.

I am planning on being there by late morning tomorrow. I'll bring eggs for Saturday breakfast and some cole slaw.
My car is in the shop and should be ready today. If that should change, I will most likely not make it down. Hoping they get it done. Craig |
