Over the years, I've bought some stuff from GW. I've always like what they carry and they have stuff you can't find elsewhere. I haven't
frequented it or bought from them as much as I'd like to have.
When I first got bit by the rattan bug a few years ago, it was because of a picture of a rod that one of their employees built, (Matt West) and he had a rattan grip on it. I fell in love with the style because cork was getting crappy, and I thought the rattan had a classy look to it. I started to research rattan and I thought I'd give it a try. Bought some from GW and had a ball building grips. I recently ran out and was going to make a grip for a friend (boarmountain). I ordered some from GW and when I got it, I really had to go thru it to get some good pieces. It was crap in others words. I emailed Golden Witch and just told them I was disappointed and maybe there was more bad hanks out there. I wasn't asking for it to be replaced, just a heads up that there might be some others with the same problem.
I got an email back from Erica Gooding apologizing for it and she had sent another hank to me free of charge.
This I wasn't expecting.
