Any Classic Twist thread out there? |
Lead | |
|
I'm hoping to find some blue/red classic twist thread for a Tonka Prince rebuild also would like to get my paws on some black/orange for a rod for myself.
This stuff is getting rare. Any one want to part with some of your hoard?

Anyone ever try embroidery thread for rods? I can find lots of that in veragated colors.

Anglers Workshop has it on page 152 of the catalog #0221 for the black/orange. Never saw a blue/red verigated thread before.

variegated is different than the classic twist/jasper style. or that's what i surmised through my experiences. i may be wrong. CT/jasper is generally two
colors with sharply defined "borders" whereas variegated has two basic colors but they smoothly change or transition to the other with shades of each
easily seen.

Nylon or silk?

onemore deer- nylon or silk doesn't matter. I like nylon over silk though.
maorizing- looks to be blue/red, could be the black has faded to a blue color, but I really think it's blue. Eric- Classic twist is what I mean, I think you are correct about vaiegated. I think I have a line on the black/orange no luck with the blue/red or black/red for that matter. I'll keep looking for any and all combos. RFMcD |
