Great tie and photo Joe. I can't imagine that the Daiwl Bach is an oldie but goodie and not used that much. It's a real fish catcher.

This fly is still pretty popular in Wales, where it originated, as well as the rest of the UK.
I think this fly was originally tied with a collar hackle, the nymph style beard being a recent innovation in comparison to the pattern. Don't quote me on that one though. |
