I'd say that it's probably one of the "spinyiest" Fenwicks ever made.
A great choice for a relatively short 6-7wt. with a comparatively faster action than most Fenwick 'glass.
A world of difference in feel from your FF60 (I also own both...)

the 756 gets dissed quite often as a trout rod,
and I might agree that there are better choices out there,
but it's a great rod for what you're looking for.
readily available on the open-market, and not all that pricey.
They are tough to find in mint condition with original sock + tube, however.
If you're into up-locking seats with a cork skeleton, they're out there as well...

Corlay and TnSmallieman ... how about the 756-4 ?
A good Pal just e-mailed me and is sending me his 756-4 to try (and to keep if I like it).
My "guess" is, the 4 piece is a bit "stiffer" than the 2 piece ... and that extra "spine" may be even better for the Smallies?
Any experience with the 4 piece version?

We "wet wade" from about 9;00 am until 3:00 pm and by the end of the day we've probably gone down stream about a mile or more so the walk back out leaves us pooped but happy ... often catch and release about 30-50 fish each but rarely any large fish. Largest would be around 13-14 inches with a 16" being uncommon, maybe a once a year occurrence . We get out there for Smallies about 3-4 times a Season . The "wet wading" is very pleasant then as the water temps really warm up and in comparison to our "Home Waters", The Farmington, the Housatonic feels like Bath Water.

Based on all of the great input I received here, I acquired from members here, BOTH a FF756 and a FF806. Both rods in terrific condition.
Put a Medalist 1494 with an Orvis Long Belly 6wt on the 7'6" rod and a Hardy Princess with a Rio Grand 6wt on the 8ft rod.
Got both Reels from members here (Thanks Guys).
Will use a Furled leader from FeatherCraft on each Line as it really turns over the Flies I use for Smallies.
(Streamers and Yuk Bugs, plus, occassionally, a few small Gurglers, Sliders and Poppers)

Will be using both Rods while wet-wading and will not be making any huge long casts ... typically 45-50 feet, sometimes less, rarely longer.
I've "lawn cast" ("snow casts" ) both rods and am absolutely impressed at how sweet they are.

I also was given a FF756-4 by a Pal but will keep that one as a 5-6 Rod for Travel.
