I'd like to post better pictures of this rod. The rod itself isn't anything real special from a collectors standpoint. They still make them today. My
father actually found this rod in his neighbors garbage. I cleaned it up and ended up with a real nice fishing rod. It has a somewhat fast action, rated for
3/16-3/4 oz lures and 6-10lb test line. It's perfect for river fishing for large trout or jigging big tube jigs for Smallies. I got it out this morning for
two cccold hours of Steelheading on the lower Niagara River. First ten minutes casting a firetiger super Vibrex caught me about a 5lb Steelhead. Last half hour
of fishing I got a 6.5 lber. I never keep trout (or any other fish from around here for that matter), but I kept this one to give to my friend for his smoker.
I started using braided line this past month (Berkley Fireline, Black and Crystal) This glass rod is a good match for braid. Even though it's a little on
the fast action side, it provides a nice shock absorber. Again, it's a nice fishing rod, sensitive enough to feel strikes and it's an especially good
tool for fighting fish. It has backbone.

Junior had a blast examining it.
