Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and if anyone has one they would be willing to trade/sell I might be interested.

Fin-Nor "Wedding Cake" reel - last 3 that have sold on ebay were $750-900
the rods are never obsolete - the marketing is.

you could buy 3 or 4 for what a Seamaster costs.

Charlton, I was just looking at one in the $5000.00 range! As a fisher and not a collector, and with most high end reels, there is usually a less expensive
"knock-off". Any ideas?? No plans for tarpon or permit or bones, but maybe some surf fishing on the West Coast of BC for Coho, and springs. Not
looking to cheap out, but a blend of quality and value.

Chad, check out this J. Austin Forbes reel. It only weighs 6.4 oz without line so it might be too light for fiberglass. You can sometimes find the 4"
metal version (nice, very nice) on Ebay for a couple hundred bucks or so.

You can find a Fin Nor #3 for under 300.00 Newer than the Wedding cakes, a bit lighter, Anti reverse and you are all set
