Just finished this rod- Lami 6.6" 2pc 3wt. It will be used to target my local gills and is replacing my 7.5' Lami 4wt that I sold to FlyFlingerAndy. I'll be throwing small dries and nymphs on 6x tippets- these gills are finicky with a capital F- so this rod will be perfect for this task. Now onto the details. Pacbay nickle silver slide bands with maple insert, tiny 5.5" fenwick style grip- started as a reverse half wells that I modified, Titanium WC, Titanium single foot stripper w/ gold insert, single foot wire guides. Thread is gudebrod goldenrod with medium brown trim and finished with one coat of MOW varnish and then flex coat lite over that. I love the transparet wraps with the hint of yellow over the guide feet!
