ActionRod painted the rod blanks like your rod. They used aluminum ferrules. Your thread wraps look like ActionRod. I have two ActionRods that are nice, a 6'2" rod and a 7'6" rod. Both rods are good to cast with a 6 weight line. Tom

They made and interchangeable tip rod too. My first fly rod was an ActionRod 7 1/2" woodgrain. Can't remember the model number. Would still like to have it. Gosh, I was stupid. Would really like to find another. I's really like to find a 4500 series. Saw one once many, many moons ago and would like to find one of those in any length. I think it was an 8ft but my gray cells are getting grayer. The ActionRod wood grain very well done, actually. CrustyBugger
