The 'Catastrophic Failure' thread the other day reminded me of a glass rod that I broke 30 some years ago.
I dug through my broken rod collection, and sure enough, all the pieces were still there.
I was wondering if it would be worth the trouble to fix it as I know I could just go down to the local W*lmart and buy a new one for 20 bucks.
The label reads;
Wright & McGill
"Feather Light" No.LWF 6 1/2'
Wt.3 oz. Line HEH or E
It has a nickel silver ferrule and a cork seat with a sliding ring.
I scarfed the break this afternoon, but I'm not quite committed yet as it will need new guides...at least..
Any opinions ?
Is this a better casting rod than the modern ones with the butt over tip ferrule?
Thanks
