Once we got to Pilchuck Creek we walked down to a little spot that has a nice little beach (Pacific NW style) to eat a quick shore lunch that our daughter wanted. Sorry Cameron no fancy paminto cheese stuff here. We had good ole PB&J with chips, rice crispy treats and pop!!!! The wife was getting excited about flying a dry at some of the trout in this water. There was no rain, water was calm and the bugs were coming off sporadically. So we lined up the little Heddon with a parachute Adams in #16 and spent the next couple of hours enjoying the little buggers that inhabit this creek for a year before they out migrate to the sea. In the fall I fish this creek for some really nice sized coastal cutthroats that are running up river with the salmon, but for now it is nice, quiet dry fly fishing for small rainbows and cutthroats.
Even though we didn't bring any fish to hand, although I'm not complaining. The less I fondle these little guys the better they can survive into adult sea going torpedos...

My wife was really excited about the mist coming off the river...
I got snagged, but she thought I had one on!!!!!
Down river a ways... About a dozen or so hits, but no takers. Then the rains came...
The remaining shots are of Pilchuck Creek, man I love this little water...
Pacific NW type of beach....haha!!!
