The berries at Delhi were not even close to ripe so we headed back to town and fished the usual spots.
I think the fish were really keyed in today because the high winds from the storm blew a lot of berries onto the water.
Bard and I took turns fishing the likely holes and he was the first to hook up with this fellow.
I convinced Bard to try one of my fiberglass rods and he seemed impressed with it's fish fighting abilities. The Berkley Parametric 6 wt has enough backbone for these brutes.
When it was my turn up to bat, I found this 15 pounder.
As usual I was fishing my ff807
Bard followed with these 2
My turn at bat again and I found this guy hanging out upstream of the bush
Bard found this fish in ambush mode about 25 yards downstream of the tree.
I finished up the day with this fine fellow.
We got 8 fish on the day and only fished for about 2 1/2 hours while avoiding the storm.
